St. Patrick's Day Street Party!

Saturday, March 15
Cable Car Square (4th & Bluff)

New this year, the Dubuque Irish Hooley and the AOH Dubuque County Division #2 will hold the first annual St. Patrick’s Day Street Party under a tent on Fenelon Place by the 4th Street Elevator from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on March 15. There will be food and beverage vendors with an entry fee for those over 12 years old. The street party will feature Irish and Celtic bands including the Dubuque Fire Pipes and Drums at 4:00 p.m., The Lads from 4:30-7:00 p.m., and Wylde Nept from 7:30 p.m. until close. Rob McCullough, President of the Dubuque AOH, says, “We are renewing and expanding the Irish culture and heritage in the Dubuque area, and next year hope to have a parade before the tent party.” The event will kick off with local pipers, the Dubuque Fire Pipes and Drums, playing at the base of the elevator. Cherish the Ladies

Monday, March 17 @ 7:30 p.m.
Five Flags Center

Grammy nominated Cherish The Ladies have grown from a one-time concert concept to an Irish traditional music sensation, literally the most successful and sought-after Irish-American group in Celtic music. And somehow we’ve managed to snag them for the most Irish-est day of the year for a St. Patrick’s Day concert on Monday, March 17th, 7:30 p.m. at Five Flags Theater.

Taking their name from the name of a traditional Irish jig, the group initially won recognition as the first and only all-women traditional Irish band. In a relatively short time, they soon established themselves as musicians and performers without peer and have won many thousands of listeners and fans of their music.

With their unique spectacular blend of virtuosi instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture and puts it forth in an immensely humorous and entertaining package. Reserved Seats are $49, $34 and $24 (plus fees). For tickets, visit, call 563-589-4258 or visit the box office 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.

A Celebration of Irish Music Dance and Culture

For generations, the highlight of Irish social life was the Hooley. Music, dance, song, good conversation and merriment flowed freely as described in the Percy French song, "There's a Hooley on in Hannigan's House Tonight." We hope you'll join us to celebrate our Irish heritage at the 2013 Irish Hooley in the Alliant Amphitheater at the Dubuque Star Brewery, Port of Dubuque, Iowa. May the luck of the Irish be with you.

Since moving to the Port location, the Hooley has exploded into a huge day-long celebration of all things Irish. Enjoy a day of music, food, Irish dancing and cultural exhibits and stay for the evening when the party is thrown into high-gear featuring Celtic rock by international acts Skerryvore, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and the return of Gaelic Storm. Don't you dare miss it!
